The covers are clean and stain free.  The color illustration on the front cover is bright and mark free.  The print on the spine is bright and sharp.  The corners are lightly bumped on the points.  The binding is square and solid.  The inside front and back hinges are strong and crack free.  The end pages in the front and back are illustrated.  The only sign of former ownership is a signature in black ink on the top of the half title page and page 1 of the dedication page in the front.   All of the pages are present and free of tears.   There are a few edge tears to the front edges of a few pages in the front.  There are 9 full page color illustrations by N.C. Wyeth (father of American artist Andrew Wyeth).  Book size is 7.25 by 9.50 inches tall, 356 pages.
