Condition: As new, brown full leather 2 volume set with gold decorations and print on the front and backs of the covers and the spines. The cloth covered slipcase is in very good condition with some mild soiling on the back. All of the gold print and decorations are bright and sharp. These are standard Easton Press quality with full leather covers, cloth end pages, gold (gilt) page edges and decorated end pages and silk page markers. All of the corners are sharp and bump free. The gold page edges are bright with a few faint marks mostly on the side edges. There are no signs of former ownership inside. No attached bookplates. There are numerous full page color illustrations of paintings, drawings, maps and letters throughout each volume. There is a large foldout maps in the back of each volume.
Book size 8 by 11.5 inches tall. Volume 1 ends with page 231 and volume 2 starts with page 232 and ends with page 545. 231 pages and volume 2 is 547. The Collector's notes are included. This set is numbered 573 of only 800 sets printed.
