Condition: Near fine, black full leather edition with the title in gold on the spine and a raised relief of a whale on the front cover. The covers are clean and unmarked and free from wear. All of the gold decorations on the covers are bright and shiny. The gold page edges are bright with some rubbing to the bottom edge. The edges of the cloth end pages have faded a bit to sunning. There are 15 or so double page color illustrations by Willard Thorp throughout. This is a gift quality copy. Book size 6.50 by 9.50 inches tall, 527 pages.
