Book Description: Very good condition red cloth hardcover with a gold illustration and title on the front cover and spine. The title is in gold on the spine has dulled a bit. The covers are clean and stain free and the title and illustration is bright and sharp. The corners are sharp with shelf wear to the points. The binding is solid and square and the inside hinges are free from any cracking. There is some wear and fraying to the top and bottom edges of the spine. There is no foxing (age spots) on any pages inside. There are no marks or signs of former ownership inside. All 15 full page color illustrations are present and free from foxing (age spots). There are no tears on any pages that I could find. All 15 full page color plates are bright and sharp. Book size is 8 x 10.20, 314 pages. Pages have browned a bit due to age. This is a first illustrated edition by N.C Wyeth, father of American artist Andrew Wyeth. This is a gift quality copy.
